Enter the replacement consumable price and the manufacturer's stated page yield. We'll calculate the estimated ink or toner cost for one, 100 and 1,000 pages.
The basic formula is:
Consumable price ÷ stated page yield = cost per page
For black-and-white printing, divide the black ink or toner price by its stated page yield.
For colour printing using separate black, cyan, magenta and yellow cartridges, calculate each cartridge’s cost per page and add the four results together.
This provides an estimated consumable cost. Actual results depend on what you print, page coverage and how the printer is used.

Check the exact printer model, cartridge code and stated yield before entering figures. Standard and high-yield cartridges can have different purchase prices and costs per page.
Use a consistent GST basis when comparing prices, and compare replacement cartridges rather than assuming the starter supplies included with a printer have the same yield.
